About The Illustrator

My name is Kathryn Burrows and I am a freelance illustrator/graphic designer from Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.

In 2021, I graduated from The University of Huddersfield with a First Class degree in BA (Hons) Illustration. I was also awarded the “Chancellor’s Prize” for The School of Art, Design and Architecture in the same year.

Since graduating, I have been freelancing in the fields of illustration and graphic design. I am also currently working as a designer at Swiftprint, a printing company based in Huddersfield.

Over the last few years, I believe I have developed a style that can appeal to many different types of media (comics, animation and video games, just to name a few). I draw a lot of inspiration from modern and retro cartoons, as embracing both the then and the now influences me to aim for a timeless feel with my projects.

As a creative designer, I make a genuine effort to push a feeling of excitement within my work. No matter what I am creating, there are always two consistent traits I try to showcase above all else:
